Free church scheduling software
Build the schedule, hit publish, and every volunteer gets a one-tap RSVP link — no account, no app, no password. You watch the confirmations roll in instead of chasing texts. Free for your church, for real.
Create your free account. Two minutes: church name, your service times, done. Your team and scheduler are ready when you land.
Add your people. Type them in or import your existing list from a CSV. Tag who can serve where — sound, vocals, check-in, preschool.
Publish the schedule. Everyone gets a personal RSVP link by email. They tap accept or decline; you see it live and fill the gaps.
What you get, free
This is the real feature from the Ministry Planner workspace — not a trimmed-down demo.
Nothing to buy, nothing expires.

Every service, every role, every open slot — filled by dragging names in, with each volunteer's confirmation status right on their card. When someone declines, you see it immediately and fill the gap before Sunday, not during it.

Every unfilled role shows the people tagged for it — who is free, who is already serving that day — so covering a drop-out is picking a name, not sending a church-wide plea.

The Positions board is your serving depth chart: every role in a column, every trained person tagged to it. Tag someone once and it holds for every schedule after.

The people rail keeps count of everyone who signed up to help and was never plugged in — the fastest way to spot willing volunteers slipping through the cracks.
Service planning, the teaching calendar, events, groups, extra teams and campuses live in the paid plans — $9.99/mo for the whole church, no per-volunteer fees. Volunteer scheduling stays free either way.

Is this really free church scheduling software?
Yes. The free plan is the real Ministry Planner volunteer scheduler — the same boards, RSVP links, and reminders paid churches use — free for 1 team and up to 50 volunteers, with no credit card and no expiring trial. Paid plans (from $9.99/mo) add more teams and the rest of the workspace: service planning, teaching calendar, events, and more.
Do volunteers need an account or an app?
No. When you publish a schedule, each volunteer gets a secure personal link by email and confirms or declines in one tap. There is nothing to download and no password to reset, which is why response rates hold up.
How is this different from other free scheduling tools?
Most church software either caps its free plan at a handful of team members or leaves scheduling out of the free plan entirely. Ours is the opposite: scheduling is the free part — a full scheduler for up to 50 volunteers on one team, free for as long as you want it.
What happens when we outgrow the free plan?
Upgrade when you are ready — the Plant plan is $9.99/mo for up to 3 teams, and everything you built on the free plan (people, positions, schedules) carries over exactly as it is. Nothing is deleted and nothing has to be rebuilt.
What's the catch?
There isn't one. We built the free scheduler because scheduling is where every church's spreadsheet pain starts. If it serves your team well and you eventually want service planning or more teams, we'd love for you to upgrade — but the free plan doesn't expire and doesn't nag.
Your volunteers are one tap away.
Set up your free scheduler this afternoon and publish your first schedule before Sunday.
